VAG Fair 2012 - Event Coverage

Vag Fair is one of the more unique events of the show season, utilizing the York Fair grounds in York PA. With classes for every conceivable VAG auto and events like the “Monsters of the Midway” competition, to the live bands rocking out on the huge York Fair stage, Vag Fair has a festival feel that most shows dream of having. With a great mix of all makes – from Mitusbishi’s and BMW’s to Porsches and air-cooled VW’s, it is clear that the organizers really take to heart that it is an open show to all makes and models. But to be clear, this is for sure a Volkswagen and Audi event. With some of the best cars from the North East in attendance there is strong competition in all of the judging categories. And while it is a battle for who wins what class, the overall atmosphere is that of a gathering of friends to have a good time. Some attendees chose to camp all weekend in the optional camping area on the York Fair grounds. For the first time in its history this years Vag Fair was a 2 day event, with festivities going on both Saturday and Sunday, and with a record number of vendors there was plenty to see and do during the weekend.
