BFI C7/C8/4M Billet Aluminum Transmission Mount Insert

Put more power the the ground with our C7/C8/4M Transmission Mount Insert. This part quickly and easily installs and fills the voids in your factory transmission mount, helping to limit movement and transfer of energy. Effectively this stiffer mount will allow more of your engine's horsepower to make it to the wheels rather than being lost to wasted movement. 


WHY ALUMINUM?

While we have opted for polyurethane as an ideal material for bushings and inserts across the VAG platform, we had our hearts set on a full billet aluminum insert for the C7, C8, and 4M chassis vehicles. 

Other companies that offer billet transmission mount inserts for these applications opt for a straight edge design that does completely fill the void left by the factory rubber bushing. Over time, this leads to increased wear on the 4 main contact points on the factory rubber bushing. See the factory mount for reference:

With this in mind, we have designed ours to completely fill the void and fully utilize the existing rubber bushing. With nearly a 100% contact patch between our insert and the factory rubber bushing, our design ensures increased performance and longevity. 

While this does come at a slight cost of more vibration, it is minimal and likely unnoticeable to the average person. Our insert eliminates those sloppy shifts and significantly improves launches from a standstill. Not only that, but you'll likely notice smoother shifts when driving both spiritedly and calmly due to the decreased movement of the chassis.

Installation is simple once you're underneath the vehicle - simply remove the two 10mm triple square bolts holding the factory plate, slide in our billet insert, re-install the 10mm triple square bolts (blue loctite is recommended) and torque to 20Nm.
