BFI Full Billet Transmission Boss/Console Kit - (PQ35 & MQB) MK5-MK8
We are excited to announce the release of our new full billet aluminum replacement transmission boss! While the transmission boss we provide with our motor mount spacer kit is 17mm shorter than factory, we've decided to make an additional spacer to fill that gap. Perfect for replacing an old and damaged factory boss, or simply replacing your factory boss for that extra strength and peace of mind.
Sold as a kit of 1 transmission mount boss (console) and 1 spacer plate, this kit installs between your transmission mount brackets and frame. Designed for use with either BFI mounts or factory mounts.
Additionally, this kit is fully clear anodized for corrosion resistance and long lasting durability.
Billet Construction
Unlike your factory transmission boss (console) which is cast, our transmission boss console kit comes with a billet machined console and a spacer plate, both made from 6061-T6. Together, our transmission console and spacer plate form a factory replacement transmission boss.
Our billet transmission boss is many times stronger than their factory counterpart. Regardless of the situation, you can drive with the knowledge that these parts are strong enough to take whatever you throw at them.
Heli-Coil
If you have ever had the misfortune of taking your engine mounts on and off multiple times, you'll know that the factory aluminum threads aren't up to the task of repeated removal and torqueing. Over time, these formed aluminum threads weaken and often start to pull, damaging the threaded hole, or increasing the ease of a cross-thread install. To address this issue, we designed our lift spacers to include Heli-Coil stainless steel thread inserts, making the thread connection stronger and repeatedly removeable if necessary.

NOTES:
- This kit does not come with replacement hardware, you can reuse the factory hardware.
- Upgraded motor mounts are highly recommended when uses these spacers.
- In most applications the hood will close without modification but in some instances hood liner will need to be trimmed.
- Vehicles that are significantly lower than stock may experience the axles hitting the frame when using these spacers. Frame notch may be required.
- While these spacers will work with all factory and aftermarket engine and transmission mounts, we cannot guarantee the correct length of hardware for all non-BFI aftermarket mounts.
