GS4 Alcantara (Porsche 964-997)
The GS4 shift knob represents years of design and manufacturing expertise that we have acquired in the past two decades embodied in one product. With inspiration from Porsche and the 911 ST, the GS4 uses a “Ball Forward” design, offsetting the centerline of the knob to give you an ergonomic grip with a timeless look and feel.
Each GS4 is 3d milled from 6061-T651 billet aluminum, then hand finished, bead blasted, bright dipped and flash anodized, leaving a smooth-to-the-touch finished the belies its hard billet nature. There is a lot of work that goes into creating each of these shift knobs, and you’ll feel it in every shift.
Each knob is hand wrapped in OE finish Nappa leather hide or premium Alcantara, available in many original colors so you can match your interior, or make it stand out from the crowd. Weighing in at 227 Grams, the GS4 is a heavyweight contender, but still nimble enough for quick and precise shifting.

- While our shift knobs will often work with your factory shift boot, they are specifically designed to mate to our BFI designed shift boots. We strongly recommend replacing the factory shift boot when you install a BFI shift knob.

- Only fits rectangular shift rods (will not fit screw-on type shifters).
- All 964-997 GS4 shift knobs now come with an insert at the base of the knob for more secure fitment. Please contact sales@blackforestindustries.com if you purchased a 964-997 shift knob without inserts and would like to have one sent to you (see image below for reference).
