VRSF Performance HD FMIC - 2007-2010 BMW 535i (E60 N54)

$519.99
SKU: V02D E60-10903070

This VRSF Performance HD FMIC is a direct bolt-on replacement for the factory intercooler on the E60/E61 BMW 535i and 535xi with the N54 twin-turbo engine. It swaps the factory tube-and-fin core for a custom bar-and-plate design built to hold up under tuned boost levels.

The factory core is sized for stock boost and airflow. Once the car is tuned, the OEM unit heat-soaks under sustained load, which costs power and raises the risk of pre-detonation in the upper RPM range. VRSF's bar-and-plate core uses a staggered, offset fin pack to pull more heat out of the charge air while keeping pressure drop low.

Important Compatibility Information

The 5" core keeps the factory plastic shroud in place. The larger 7.5" cores require trimming the plastic shroud behind the bumper - the bumper itself does not need to be cut with any core size.

Frequently Asked Questions

What's the difference between the three core options?
They're progressively larger steps in core size - the 5" core is the mildest upgrade and keeps the factory shroud untouched, while the 7.5" Competition and Race cores are larger and require trimming the plastic shroud behind the bumper.

Does this reuse the factory piping?
It's designed as a bolt-on replacement for the factory core; check with your BMP Tuning rep if you're pairing it with non-factory piping.
