VRSF Performance HD FMIC - BMW F22/F23/F87/F30/F32/F33/F36 N20 & N55
This VRSF Performance HD FMIC is a direct bolt-on replacement for the factory intercooler on BMW's F-chassis N20 and N55 platforms, including the base F87 M2. It swaps the factory tube-and-fin core for a bar-and-plate design with cast end tanks, built to control heat soak once the car is running more airflow than stock.
The factory core is sized for stock boost levels; a tuned car pushes more air through it than it was designed for, which leads to heat soak, power loss, and a higher chance of pre-detonation under sustained load. VRSF's larger core and CFD-optimized end tanks are built to keep intake temperatures down through repeated pulls.
Important Compatibility Information
This fits the base F87 M2, which runs the N55 engine - it is not for the S55-powered M2 Competition.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does this fit the M2 Competition?
No. This is built for the N55-powered base M2, F30/F32/F22 chassis - the S55 M2 Competition needs a different intercooler.
What's the difference between the two core sizes?
The 5" core is the milder step; the 6.5" Competition core is larger for bigger power builds. If you want the largest core VRSF offers for this platform, see the Race Intercooler linked above.
