The VRSF Race Intercooler replaces the factory F10 535i intercooler with a direct bolt-on unit engineered around a larger core and cast aluminum end tanks. It is built for owners chasing more consistent intake temperatures on a tuned car, whether on the street or at the track.
The factory intercooler heat soaks quickly under repeated boost, letting intake temperatures climb well above ambient during back-to-back pulls. The VRSF core is 102% larger than the OE intercooler, which keeps intake air closer to ambient temperature through repeated boost cycles, reducing the risk of heat-soak related power loss and knock.
The end tanks are 3D CAD designed and CNC-cast as one piece rather than assembled from stamped sheet metal, which VRSF built for stronger, more consistent airflow through the core than multi-piece tank designs.
